The City of Norco is located in Riverside County just west of the City of Riverside and about 35 miles southeast of Los Angeles. The City of Norco is an animal-keeping and equestrian-oriented community in Western Riverside County, CA. The City limits cover an area of approximately 14 square miles.

The City of Norco is home to the Riverside Community College, Norco Campus. Norco is served by the Corona - Norco Unified School District. The Corona-Norco Unified School District (CNUSD) is located approximately 45 miles southeast of Los Angeles, California, in the western section of Riverside County. CNUSD provides education for the approximately 42,000 students of Corona, Norco, and other unincorporated areas of Riverside County.

Norco is an equestrian community with a rural heritage. Residents enjoy over 400 acres of parkland and 70 miles of horse trails. Norco is also home to the U.S. Naval Warfare Assessment Division, the California Rehabilitation Center.
